It’s the night the world has been waiting for. Britney Spears, Demi Lovato X Factor first night as judges. Did they pull it off?
Other than L.A. Reid who looked super sharp, the other judges certainly didn’t dress to impress.
L.A. Reid is out of his element on the show. He just seems too classy put up against the rest of the team.
The threesome looked blase but that is likely Simon Cowell’s strategy to try to make the show attractive to middle America.

Britney Speaks looks older
Spears, once one of one of the hottest commodities had been popular in the press over the past few years for all the wrong reasons like canoodling with the paparazzi, her late night wanderings to Walgreens and numerous convenience stores and her ultimate breakdown.
Her father took over her affairs, actually being named her conservator and Britney was largely kept under wraps.

She then emerged again, had some hit records but her concert performances was a bit lackluster and some thought she might even be heavily medicated.
The new Britney is older, more sedated and engaged to be married to Jason Traywick.
She looked a bit frumpy but pretty in her red outfit certainly not the Britney of yesteryear.
Britney herself recently said that she just can’t be hair and make up ready all the time like a Kim Kardashian! And it shows – – which is not necessarily a bad thing although it makes it harder in “image is everything” Hollywood.
Traywick has been named a co-conservator and shares responsibility for caring for the basic needs of Britney.
He’s been named a producer on the show too.
Reportedly, he was offered the “job” as part of the deal for Britney to appear as a judge and also just to be close at hand and watch over her.
Traywick also sits by her side during interviews.

What did you think about Demi Lovato on the X Factor tonight?
Aside from Simon Cowell and L..A. Reid looking like their grandpas, Lovato certainly is hot right now.
She’s had her issues with her own self image in the past, cutting herself and stuff, but she seems to be comfortable in her role speaking well, having fun and enjoying herself.
Could have done without the juvenile spitting out of her mints into Simon’s hand but again, he’s grasping to try and make the show a huge success.
Britney Spears tough X Factor judge?
If you listen to Simon Cowell, Britney is super tough as a judge. Did you agree?
She speaks well, seems fairly with it but just doesn’t seem to have that sparkle or oomph that most were waiting to see.
She was highlighted saying no a lot but the bulk of it seemed pretty contrived.
Looks like Simon is counting on Spears to “make the show” and it gives her a great, much needed career boost in the process.
Simon Cowell is trying to to act young and the whole show just doesn’t seem to give off the “natural” vibe that they seem to be desperately striving for.
Overall the first night of the X factor, despite Simon Cowell’s best efforts, seemed a campy copy attempt of American Idol and a tad boring.
