Charlie boy seems to thrive on the unexpected. It was somewhat of a surprise to find out though that Charlie Sheen quits twitter.

Although he has only been a twitterer since march of 2011, he amassed an enormous following of 7.7 million followers.

After being very famously booted from  “Two and a Half Men” and having a serious of very VERY public meltdowns, Charlie Sheen took to twitter last year.  He quickly amassed a huge following and  thoroughly entertained us all (or at least his nearly 8 million followers) with his numerous rants, life of Charlie type advice and of course he also used his platform on twitter to busily promote his new show “Anger Management” where he, of course, plays a character named Charlie.  Charlie Goodson.  A therapist!

No one really knows why Charlie Sheen quits twitter.  Was it too much to keep up with?  Did he just get sick of devoting the time needed to keep his millions of followers happy? Was he just running out of stuff to say? or, is there something else behind it?

After all, word is that American Idol is interested in him after seeing two of the judges leave the show. American Idol was not able to come to terms with both Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez who both recently officially announced their separation from the show. Jlo purportedly wanted a whopping 17 million to stay on for another season.  That’s why she waited till the every end but the Fox top brass decided to move the show in the another direction.

They are still in talks with Randy Jackson and have thrown Charlie Sheen’s name around.

Although Charlie Sheen quits quitter, the guys has got a huge following so if American Idol could snag him as judge, he just might be their ticket to combat the shows sagging ratings.

Imagine the “life” he could breath into the show!
