Drug charges dropped against Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie

Surprise Surprise. Drug charges dropped against Bon Jovi’s daughter Stephanie Rose Bongiovi.
Look, we are very glad that she is OK and know that her overdose on heroin has upset her dad, rocker Jon Bon Jovi and his wife Dorethea. Still it is irritating that the children of celebrities, and oftentimes the actual celebrity, skate on charges very frequently.
Stephanie was actually found unresponsive in her dorm room at Hamilton College, in upstate New York, on Wednesday and was charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and criminally using drug paraphernalia.
And then, boom, drug charges dropped.
The official answer is that Oneida County District Attorney Scott McNamara said on Thursday that he was dismissing the charges against both students. According to McNamara, under state law, someone having a drug overdose or seeking help for an overdose victim can’t be prosecuted for having a small amount of heroin or any amount of marijuana.
Interesting.
Then why arrest the girls in the first place!
Jon Bon Jovi is reportedly shocked that his daughter was doing heroin.
Being a rocker, he is certainly no stranger to the “lifestyle” but he has spoken out against drugs in recent years.
Truthfully, things were a bit different when he was at his prime just starting out. The drug of choice was blow (cocaine) and many shied away from Heroin because we were all afraid we’d look like Mick Jagger.
The kids today that are experimenting with drugs are using Heroin with increasingly frequency.
It also has to be hard for someone that went through it all to be telling your kid not to do it and have them take your seriously. After all, you survived it..
Bon Jovi’s kids are growing up with so many advantages over other kids ,who do not have a famous father with tons of money, so maybe she will grow up and learn her lesson quick.
