Fred Willard arrested tiki theater 239x300 Fred Williard wont be prosecuted for lewd conduct

Fred Willard was hanging at the Tiki but won’t be prosecuted

Although he may have been fired from his job at PBS,

Fred Willard won’t be prosecuted for lewd conduct.

Los Angeles City Attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan says prosecutors on Friday determined that Willard’s case of lewd conduct was eligible for a diversion program that could include sessions on decision-making and sex-related crimes.

Now come on – does the 72 year old actor not know it is wrong to take out his package while enjoying a pom movie at the Tiki.  Guess he’s considered a low level sex offender so rather than clutter up the system, and because he is a celebrity, the LAPD just figures they’ll throw him in to a class and forget the whole thing!

So in the celebrity friendly state of California, 72 year old Fred Williard won’t be prosecuted for lewd conduct just as long as he completes the required program.

Fred Willard was arrested on Wednesday night by Vice Officers as the sleazy Tiki Theater located at 5462 Santa Monica Boulevard  in Los Angeles.  The officers were conducting a routine check of the theater and the “best In Show” announcer was caught in the act performing a lewd act.

His lawyer was already setting the stage for some type of deal based on his statement to The Times that said, “With all due respect to the individual officer, our belief [is] that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter”

Notice that his lawyer did not deny the allegations. Not one denial.   He was just trying to skirt the issue so we are not surprised to see that the actor was offered a deal in the ever friendly haven for celebrity violators – the good old State of California. And due to that, His lawyer, Paul Takakjian, in a statement to The Times proclaimed, “With all due respect to the individual officer, our belief [is] that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter.
