Here comes Honey Boo is continuing to draw in a record breaking audiences. Honey Boo, also known as Alana Thompson is the star of the show along with her colorful family detailing a life that many would have no firsthand knowledge about if the show wasn’t on TV. Seriously
Because of the heavy “deep south” accent, many of the words are strung together in a hard to understand drawl, the producers put up captioning on the screen so that viewers can follow along in the conversation and antics of Honey Boo Boo, mom June Shannon, Sugar Bear and the rest of the clan.
Honey Boo Boo audience beats Republican National Convention
The show received more viewership that the Republic National Convention for viewers aged 18 to 49 with close to 3 million viewers.
Imagine that?
Is that because viewers are so drawn to the show making it a top show or is it saying something else? Perhaps so many of the potential voters in the 18 to 49 demographic are just so disgusted with the candidates and the economy that they are not even watching the show.

So just how much is the family getting for putting their lives, warts and all, in front of their audience.
Reports are circulating that the family is getting $2,000 to $4,000 per episode with a guarantee of 10 episodes plus a small location cost.
Do you believe that Honey Boo along with the Shannon and Thompson family is getting what is considered a very low paycheck for the “reality” show.
June Shannon called in to TMZ and said the family makes way more but that she did not want to discuss money.
June also said that the “haters” seem to know more about the show than the fans. That’s probably right on target.
On one hand, I tend to believe Honey Boo Boo’s mama June her because she does not come across as a liar.
On the other hand if that is all TLC is paying them, then the family was taken of by TLC and TLC should be ashamed of themselves.
Now here’s the thing, even if they were being paid a low sum of money by reality show standards, Mama June will get her due.
You know the show is going to get picked up for additional episodes and then the Shannon and Thompson family on behalf of Honey Boo Boo will have much more negotiating power.
Here Comes Honey Boo Boo latest episode 7 recap
Last night was the newest Here Comes Honey Boo Boo latest episode 7, Shh It’s a Wig which detailed the family celebrating the 4th of July at Lake Tobesofkee and Honey Boo Boo was dazzled by the fireworks. She even got to spend time with one of the lifeguards at the post. That was normal enough.
The family also went wig shopping to a place that says they outfit pageant folks all the time. Well the wigs are ugly. The first one matched Alan’s color but it was horrid as were all the other wigs in the store.
Honey Boo got an above ground pool but I was wondering about the chlorine because I didn’t see any.
The highlight of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo latest episode 7 Shh It’s a wig had to be when the family took their 4 wheelers to go to the department store. I was half watching the episode and said to myself, “they take a 4-wheeler to the department store!” until I realized that they were going dumpster diving.
The funniest line of the show was when Honey Boo Boo was getting fitted for a wig and the put the stocking on her head and she said, that she looked like a robber. Too cute!
Three more episodes to go and then the family can negotiate!
