Joe Jackson hospitalized in Las Vegas for stroke
Jackson family patriarch Joe Jackson hospitalized in Las Vegas.
He had a stroke Thursday morning and was hospitalized.
Fortunately, it doesn’t appear to be too too serious and Joe Jackson’s stroke was described as a mild stroke.
Many may not know that Joe Jackson, 83, has quite a bit of experience with strokes since he’s had 5 strokes over the past five years.
It’s been reported that out of the five strokes, two were describes as being relatively minor.
He seemed to recognize the signs, because when experienced a pain in his head and had difficulty standing up, he knew what to do.
He called a friend to ask the friend to take him to the hospital.
He’s still married to Katherine Jackson but they live apart and have lived apart for quite some time.
She was supposedly coming to Las Vegas to see how he is doing.
She lives in Calabasas with Michael Jackson’s 3 kids, while Joe Jackson seem quite content staying in Las Vegas.
They have had their ups and downs but have been together many, many years.
Joe Jackson was in great spirits in October when he was honored at Black Music Awards held at the Tuscany Hotel and Hotel, located just east of the Las Vegas strip.

He has a concealed weapons permit and says he carry his gun wherever he goes.
He even showed it to all the guests at the Tuscany, saying.
“I carry a piece everywhere I go … I’m gonna show it to you.”
He explained the reason for carrying a piece saying, “I’ve been threatened a lot of times and so I need to be safe.”
A little inappropriate and ghetto-ish – yes, but hey he’s in his 80’s!
