The Clark County Coroners said the cause of death was from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head and it was definitively ruled a suicide.
Tommy was born in Las Vegas and it was Dad who likely influenced hid decision to pursue a music career.
Tommy Marth attended Chaparral High School in Las Vegas where he met the future bass player for The Killers, Mark Stoermer. While still in high school, Tommy worked as a fashion model for Tommy Hilfiger, Jaguar, and appeared in the video for Sting’s “Desert Rose. Brandon Flowers sent this tweet Tuesday on the band’s official Twitter page,
The Killers went on hiatus after the Day & Age tour ended in 2009, and are now working on a new record that is due out this year.
Band spokeswoman Jen Appel says Marth was not a full member of the Las Vegas-based rock band, but played saxophone on their 2006 album “Sam’s Town” and their 2008 album “Day & Age.”
He also played and recorded with his family members in Big Friendly Corporation and collaborated with local bands, including Black Camaro and Halloween Town, according to Las Vegas City Life.
I guess one of the big questions is why did he do it?
Rest in Peace Tommy!
