When it was announced that Lindsay Lohan landed the role of Liz Taylor, my immediate thought was that this better be one stellar performance in order for Lohan to revive her career. Unfortunately, she missed the mark. Lindsay Lohan can’t compare to Liz Taylor.
When the numbers come out, we will likely find out that the Lifetime movie was widely watched, simply because Lindsay Lohan was starring in it.
Let’s face it, the girl needs a break. Lindsay been widely touted in the media as thief, a liar and a druggie and can’t seem to get away from that controversy even though she has been given numerous breaks. Because of that, I think many of us were secretly rooting for her,
Lindsay Lohan’s boring portrayal of Liz Taylor
Lindsay Lohan can’t compare to Liz Taylor and really missed the mark on this performance. The pace of the film was slow.
As we watched it, a friend commented, “It’s only been on a half hour”, at the 9:30 pm mark. Another dozed off, and all agreed that Lindsay Lohan’s performance as Liz Taylor was BORING BORING BORING.
Probably, the best thing was Dean Martin’s song, Just in TIme, that opened the “biopic” and it went downhill from there.
Lohan did not master Liz Taylor’s enunciation; although Grant Bowler had Richard Burton’s accent down.
When Lohan was upset at the Cleopatra news headlines calling her fat, she didn’t look any different.
Shouldn’t see have been padded or something to show weight gain? Perhaps it was her vanity and she did not want to wear a fat suit?
Liz and Dick felt more like a play; a boring one.
The fact is Lindsay Lohan can’t compare to Liz Taylor in any way, shape or form. Her performance was simply not believable and certainly did not do Elizabeth Taylor any justice.
