Mary Blige not taking responsibility for Charity theft
When news first broke abut the Mary Blige charity scandal – you know how HER charity, FFAWN, was pilfered under her watch, she truly seemed apologetic. Mary Blige went into the required damage control publicity mode and starting making the rounds, So it it truly sad to now see her flip-flop with Mary Blige not taking responsibility for Charity theft
Her initial statement was truly impressive,
As Founder and CEO of FFAWN, I am ultimately responsible for anything that goes wrong. The problem is that I didn’t have the right people in the right places doing the right things. This should have never been allowed to happen, but it did and now we are fixing it.
After hearing that I said to myself, “Wow, that’s great. She is actually taking responsibility for the theft”
What a difference a few week makes! Now with Mary Blige not taking responsibility for Charity theft, she has the audacity to suggest that the banks were stupid to loan the charity money in the first place. You have got to be kidding!
TMZ is reporting that her camp is firing back saying, “if the bank had done their job correctly, they would have realized the group was knee deep in debt already and never should have been loaned the money in the first place”.
Oh wait, I get it now
According to the world Mary Blige lives in, it’s OK for YOUR charity to take out a $250,000 loan and only pay back $400 of it because you know hey – we didn’t have the money to do that and you were stupid to loan it to us.
Hey Mary – where did the money go?
Mary, Mary, Mary. Shame on you! It’s your charity, your cause and now you are trying to blame others. What a great example you are setting to the children who were awarded scholarships
This definitely gets added to “Entitlement Curse Inductees“.
