Phillip Phillips family pawn shop robbed
While Phillip Phillips was recuperating in California after his recent kidney stone surgery, the Phillip Phillips family pawn shop in Georgia was robbed.
The Phillip Phillips family pawn shop, Albany Sporting Goods & Pawn, actually belongs to Phillips Phillips father and his Dad was in the process of selling it. Obviously some bad people surmised that Phillips Phillips family was with him in Callie while he was recovering so they took the opportunity to rob the pawn shop.
This was a very well planned heist that took place sometime between Monday night and early Tuesday according to Phyllis Banks, Albany Police Department spokesperson.
This was obviously not an amateurish job since the store’s power and phone lines were cut and a backhoe was stolen and hot wired from a nearby Albany Water Gas & Light job site to smash open the store’s back door.
The crime rate is quite high in Albany, GA so it’s not really that much of a surprise that some lowlifes would know that Phillips family was out of town and use this knowledge to rob it. If and when they catch the perpetrators, it will be interesting to see what their connection is to the family. Perhaps they did work in pawn shop in the past.
The lowlifes not only took the $100+ in the cash register, they actually made off with the entire cash register .
