Will the “new” Judges of American Idol be better than these guys?
The head honchos in their quest to revive American Idol for season 12 and are starting from scratch. Will the American Idol new judges work and save the show?
Mariah Carey American Idol Judge
Truthfully she already made a major blunder by not waiting to debut her new release Triumphant, her first release in 3 years after her self imposed hiatus. She’s got 3 versions out and it was received with just a mediocre reception. She should have waited and insisted that she be allowed to debut it on Idol. Duh!
So some of the buzz surrounding her has tapered off.
Then she reportedly is all in a jealous tizzy about Nicky Minaj joining the cast.

I like Nicki. Yes, she’s crude with a foul mouth and can sometimes be a bit unreasonable like with the whole Hot 97 deal but she speaks her mind and will really embrace her new role trying to give good advice to the American Idol contestants.
Mariah’s priority will be all about her. You know it.
How good she looks, is she being shot from the most flattering angle, is her dressing room way WAY bigger than the others blah, blah, blah.
That type of stuff.
The staff tending to Mariah will likely have their hands full dealing with her and her demands!
Nicki’s priority will be about the contestants. For sure.
Nicki also will speak her mind and definitely make her presence known. She won’t take any unnecessary crap from Queen Mariah or any of the other judges, whoever they may be!
Rumor had it that Mariah didn’t want any other gals on the show. She’s going to have to lean to deal with it because Ms. Minaj will not just fade into the background.
Another really great thing for Nicki Minaj being a judge on Idol is that the visibility of being on national TV each week will really give her some great exposure to a more mainstream audience.
The girl can really sing so she’ll have the opportunity to showcase her skills.
American Idol Judge Keith Urban
Keith Urban should be inking a deal soon. He too is a great talent.
Plus he’s quick witted and pretty likeable and the audience will likely identify with him because of his reported past drug problems.

BUT — he’s a country star so something just seems kinda weird about that one. The hubby of Nicole Kidman is reportedly trying to work out the details on a contract worth 3 to 4 million.
Randy Jackson out; now he’s a mentor

In a way you’ve got to feel bad for Randy. He’s the only original American Idol Judge left and he is getting the shaft. He’ll be taken care of financially but it is evident that he is not wanted on the show.
You know that as Mariah’s Manager, he had a hand in the deal securing her so the Idol executives were probably in a quandary and they offered him a role as a mentor.
Now the Idol Executives are very likely foaming at the mouth about Mariah being uptight about Nicki Minaj. They are soooo desperate to get the show back on top that they figure some fighting will be a good thing.
American Idol wants 4 judges!
Supposedly Idol execs don’t like the idea of of a 2 on 1 when it comes to the women outnumbering the men so they are looking at finding another guy
If they can’t find one, rumor has it that Randy will sit in as a judge
Doesn’t having 4 Judges pose some problems? What happens if they can’t agree on stuff? Will Ryan Seacrest serve as the tie breaker if needed?
