Although he is, fortunately, no Anthony Weiner, the former Secretary of state, Colin Powell engaged in some pretty heavy cyber flirtation with a woman that he did know “in real time”
European Parliament member Corina Cretu, 46, was his cyber gal pal and she apparently took their years-long relationship pretty seriously, while Powell seemed to enjoy the attention and responded flirtatiously to her emails.

The relationship came to light after Powell’s email account was hacked by notorious hacker, Guccifer.
Powell knew that his aol account had been hacked and wrote to Cretu.
According to the New York Post, most of Guccifer’s hacked-and-released e-mails are from 2010 and 2011.
Powell emailed Cretu on July 30 and wrote,
This hacker is driving everyone here crazy.
The hacker gets addresses from my contact list which he got when he hack[ed] into President Bush’s account. Our security people have been chasing him for months. He may have lots of your emails, maybe not, so best to delete all between us.
Powell obviously knew that he would not be portrayed in such a good light if the emails went public. What he didn’t know, at the time, was that the email he wrote to Cretu on July 30 had been hacked.
After his seemingly inappropriate relationship came to light, Powell, in a written statement, did admit that he and Cretu knew one another during his tenure at the State Department, and that they “occasionally attended the same diplomatic and international meetings” .
Powell did insist though that he did not cheat on his wife of more than 50 years, Alma.
Their relationship did last for many years and in November, 2011, Cretu emailed Powell and wrote;

Looks like the 76-year-old Powell still has a lot of life left in him and proves that it is not just kids who engage in borderline-inappropriate cyber email exchanges.
