Actor Fred Willard arrested for lewdness

Widely known for his role as the dog announcer in “Best in Show”, actor Fred Willard was arrested for lewdness.
Vice Officers were conducting a routine check of the Tiki Theater located at 5462 Santa Monica Boulevard in Los Angeles on Wednesday night and caught the “best in Show” actor engaging in a lewd act. The 72 year old actor was, so to speak, caught in the act..
Now mind you when you hear “theater”, many of you might be thinking the Tiki is like a regular movie theater that sometimes shows porn. You could not be more wrong. The Tiki is gross. Really gross!
Fred Willard was arrested in what the LA Weekly calls the, “darkest, dankest, funkiest adult theater still surviving in Los Angeles”. Some “movies” that were playing at the Tiki include ‘Follow Me 2,’ a XXX parody of ‘The Client List,’ and ‘Step Dad No. 2.'”
Some reviews found on the internet describe the people that go to the Tiki as, “A quarter of the audience is wearing hooded sweaters and smoking crack” and the rest are doing what Fred Willard was arrested for..
Why would he go there? is it because he’s 72 years old and maybe not as savvy on the internet. For God’s sake, rent a movie and watch it at home!
The actor said in a video posted by celebrity website TMZ that it was a misunderstanding and denied wrongdoing.
His lawyer, Paul Takakjian, in a statement to The Times proclaimed, “With all due respect to the individual officer, our belief [is] that Fred did nothing in any violation of any law. We will be working vigorously to clear his name in this matter”
Notice there were no denials. That would be mighty hard (no pun intended) to deny since the cops walked up to him and saw him. Obviously his lawyer is going to try to come up with some excuse. Like maybe he had really bad itch and just happened to be sitting in the Tiki and needed to scratch it.
Shortly after Fred Willard was arrested, he was dropped from his voice over gig on on PBS’s Market Warriors.
According to People, Jeanne Hopkins, a rep for WGBH, the Boston public broadcaster that produces the show, said in a statement,
“Given the unfortunate news reported today, effective immediately, Fred Willard no longer will be involved with the Market Warriors series”
