What celebrities can really rock cabaret style tunes?

Well, the first requisite is that you have to be able to sing and sing really well with and without any music.

That leaves out the gorgeous Ms. Britney Spears.

Really when you think of word “Cabaret” … quick who comes to mind?

None other than Liza Minnelli in her incredible performance as Sally Bowles, a singer at the Kit Kat Klub.

Liza with a Z can still carry a great tune and there haven’t been many superstars that can match her style or performance.

But there are a two that come to mind,

Lady Gaga can sing

Lady Gaga can sing.

Take away all the stage productions and the dancers and the fire and the breaking glass – – and all the peripherals and you are left with one incredible singer.

For her opening monologue in November on SNL, she did an awesome, humorous and very entertaining cabaret style version of “Applause”,  changing the chorus to, “I live for cheap applause”, that brought down the house.

Celine Dion has one of the best voices in the world

World renown vocalist Celine Dion arguably has the best chops in the world.

She is most often compared to Barbra Streisand.

Dion has been around for years and sings all types of music.

She can truly tackle any genre and even made a child song’s into a worldwide charted hit.

To this day, she mesmerizes guests at her Las Vegas show.

Over 27 years ago Dion appeared on the French Canadian show, Silence… On chante”, and performed a medley of songs including “Cabaret”.
