Elizabeth Berkeley gives birth to son – her first child.
Berkeley and husband, Greg Lauren, who married in 2003 welcomed their son, Sky Cole Lauren, on Friday and he weighed in at healthy 8 lbs. The actress changed her name to Elizabeth Berkley Lauren but still uses the name Elizabeth Berkeley professionally
She gushed to People, “We are over the moon and grateful to start this amazing adventure together as a family.”
Berkeley starred in the television series, Saved by the Bell, where she played a “brainiac” but it was really her role as in the 1995 film Showgirls as exotic stripper Nomi Malone that really made her a household name.
The movie Showgirls, with Gina Gershon was widely ridiculed as one of the world’s worst films ever but I beg to differ.
If you live in Las Vegas or are familiar with the culture, you will know that the showgirls and cocktail waitresses in Las Vegas can be some of the most sweetest and yet at the same time, most cunning and vindictive women you will ever meet.
These girls will think nothing of damaging your clothes and much, much worse when jealously takes hold.
Others know it too which has helped the film achieve a cult like status.
Back in March, Berkeley told TMZ how special being pregnant was. She said,

It seems that after what many (not me) consider the flop of Showgirls, Elizabeth Berkeley focused on smaller type of supporting roles and has carved out a good niche for herself.
She is an avid animal activist and also has a website, Ask -Elizabeth that promotes her book, Ask Elizabeth: Real Answers to Everything You Secretly Wanted to Ask About Love, Friends, Your Body… and Life in General, which is designed to answer question that teenagers have.
