George Lopez arrested for public intoxication at Casino Windsor
True to his funny nature, George Lopez hasn’t lost his comedic touch when explaining his recent arrest at a casino for public intoxication. He said,
I was trying to sleep it off, unfortunately, it was on the casino floor
Lopez, 52, is in the midst of a gig at the Casino Windsor in Ontario and was apparently having a REALLY good time Thursday night at the casino.
He was drinking at the casino bar and got drunk. So drunk that he passed out on the floor in the casino bar area.
George Lopez arrested, no charges filed
Lopez was arrested but no charges ended up being filed.
Why didn’t they just pick him and bring him to his room like they do in Las Vegas? That’s pretty much the de rigueur procedure, especially for a known personality, unless you are extremely rowdy, combative or belligerent.
The funnyman, who was named by Time magazine as one of the 25 Most Influential Hispanics in America is still scheduled to perform Friday night at Casino Windsor and will probably entertain the audience with tales about his recent arrest.
Lopez has been making the publicity rounds for his new show Saint George, a sitcom about a successful Mexican American entrepreneur coping with aging, dating and life in general after a divorce from his “all-American” wife.
Although his recent arrest for public intoxication is a bit embarrassing to both George Lopez and to FX network honchos, the free publicity is sure to attract extra viewers to the network premiere on March 6.
