It’s pretty evident that Katie Holmes REALLY wanted out and receives only child support
All I can say to her is bravo Katie. Give yourself a big pat on the back.
There are so many Hollywood women with far more money than her that would have dragged the court case out in order to get a piece of mega rich Tom Cruise’s fortune.
Love her or hate – and most people love her, Katie comes across as a shining example of what a good mother should be.
Katie teaches Suri that you can’t have everything!
Katie Holmes is smart, she’s beautiful and she truly has her daughter’s best interests at heart and that’s why she wanted out.
TMZ reports that Katie Holmes did not receive a lump sum payout, which was consistent with the pre-nup agreement she had signed.

Katie Holmes is not getting a piece of Cruises fortune.
That just proves that she really did marry him for love and she’s walking away really with nothing.
Suri Cruise will of course be extremely well-cared for and taken care of financially.
Tom Cruise will reportedly pay Holmes $400,000 a year in child support. That’s $33,000 per month folks a huge amount to you and me!
Many speculate that Katie could have gotten far more if she went to court just proving again she just REALLY wanted out.
The total Cruise will pay is just under $5 million chump change to Cruise and he will also pay for her schooling and other “extras”.
It appears that Katie got what she wanted – to get her daughter out of the situation she was in.
There is also allegedly a stipulation that Suri will not go to a residential school.
Not too many women would go the route that Katie Holmes did.
The only other one I can think of in recent memory – and there weren’t any kids involved is Katy Perry – another class act in that department.
