Former Facts of Life hottie Lisa Whelchel joins Survivor Phillipines.
Whelchel played the wealthy, preppy and bitchy stuck-up Blair Warner on the long running series stealing the spotlight from Nancy McKeon and Molly Ringwald due to her great looks.
After the series ended, she pretty well faded away from the Hollywood spotlight.

Lisa Whelchel still beautiful
The still beautiful Welchel became a born again Christian reportedly when she was just 10 years old. She married a Pastor when she was 25, had three children and decided to leave showbiz and be a stay at home Mom. She is also very active in the Christian Community.
Whelchel has written numerous books on motherhood, child discipline, homeschooling, and finding Jesus through the development of holiday traditions.
That’s why it was surprising to many to hear that Lisa Whelchel joins Survivor Philippines edition.
Perhaps because her kids are now grown, she is looking to get back “in the business” although she says she just wanted to be a part of the show.
In a recent pre-game Survivor interview,, Whelchel does say that she and her family have been watching the show for 10 years and that she also wanted to meet Jeff Probst.
Lisa said, “I am strong physically, intellectually and in will” when asked why she will “survive”
She really seems quite balanced. Although she is religious and really has dedicated her post show biz life to it, she knows that it might not come across to viewers too well if she was too over the top about about her beliefs.
She also showed her sense of humor when she knowingly acknowledged that many of the younger people may have never heard of her or the show she was a part of.
She also gave great answers to Gordon Holmes when he interviewed her as to what she will do with the million dollars if she wins.
Holmes: Any plans for that big check they’re going to give you in December?
Whelchel: This sounds like a beauty pageant answer…
Holmes: World peace, donate it all to charity…
Whelchel: Well, as a Christian it’s a privilege to give the first 10% to the church. And my brother just started a church in the inner city in California. So, it’d be a joy to give $100,000 to him. And before I left, I read a book called “The God Pocket” that captivated my imagination. You keep a certain amount of money in your purse, then you open your eyes to people who need it. I’d love to set aside maybe 10% for that. Just to give away when the need arises. My daughter is getting married, I’ve got three kids in college. And as far as fun, I’d love the freedom it’d provide me.
