What do Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson have in common?
You may think that these 2 amazing singers do not have much in common, other than being singers, but they do have something in common that is a bit unique. So what do Jennifer Hudson and Carrie Underwood have in common, you ask?
A whole lot. They both got their start their to fame on American Idol and they both, of course, are amazing singers.
But that’s not all they have in common.
Both Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson have been shunned by their peers.
Yes their peers.
It seems that both of these talented and powerful singers seem to unwittingly provoke extreme jealously among other singers.
Who can forget the famous snubs Carrie Underwood endured early on in her career?
Carrie Underwood won 2 awards at the 40th Annual Country Music Association Awards.
She scored CMA’s for the Horizon award (CMA’s version of Best New Artist) and the Best Female Vocalist of the year and Faith Hill freaked. She can say what she wants however, we all know she was not joking.
Wynonna Judd slammed her too calling her “vanilla” and went into a whole long speech. Carrie Underwood was green in the industry then and was visibly shaken but she handled it pretty well. You could see how upset she was.
The reason for the outburst appears to be plain and simple jealously!
She’s already proved she can sing her ass off. She can sell records. She can write. She can do it all. She’s so talented, and she’s sweet and beautiful—all in one package. For anyone to say anything bad about her—I think they’re jealous.
The reaction to Jennifer Hudson is much the same, although her peers are not as obvious; they just keep her at arms length afraid that she will get all the attention once she opens her mouth.
Hands down, Jennifer Hudson has one of the most powerful set of vocals we have heard in many years.
The amazing Beyonce was jealous of her in Dreamgirls and released a statement saying that she herself was a great singer and actress, Remember that!
I didn’t have the part with the most drama, I was fine with that. I’m not doing this to become a star or prove that I can sing. I’ve already won nine Grammys and everyone knows that I can sing. I did this mainly to know I can act, to know myself and show everyone else that I could. I’m extremely happy with the movie. I’m extremely proud of Jennifer. I think she’s incredible.
Aretha Franklin is overcome with jealousy at the mere mention of Hudson’s name and Jennifer’s only been tapped to perform at a few of the many tributes to Whitney Houston because the industry folks are terribly, terribly jealous of her raw natural ability. She wasn’t even asked to perform at Whitney’s funeral. It’s amazing she was asked to do the Grammy salute. She’s the natural choice for it.
Like her or not, she’s got an incredibly powerful voice and she absolutely idolized Whitney Houston.
What do Carrie Underwood and Jennifer Hudson have in common? Amazing talent that makes their peers green with envy.
