Good things can come from being the “Celebrity Apprentice“. Just ask Arsenio Hall. The exposure it provides can help jump start a stalled career so it is great news to hear that Arsenio Hall signs late night talk show deal
He had a great show way back when and for whatever reasons, after it ended, things kind of fell flat for him. The Arsenio Hall show ran from 1989 to 1994. His quick-wit and easy dialogue with guests and audience members made him a real “crowd-pleaser”. Who can forget his, “Woof, Woof, Woof”.
Arsenio Hall lands late night talk show deal with CBS Television Distribution for a syndicated talk show to air nightly Mondays through Fridays and is scheduled to premiere in the fall of 2013. Wonder who he will line up as his first guest? Aubrey O’Day. Not!! It would be a great coup to open the show with his pal, Magic Johnson. He also seemed to bond with Celebrity Apprentice runner up, Clay Aiken. They both handled the finale like true gentlemen. Here’s what CBS had to stay about signing a deal with Aresenio Hall,
When Arsenio Hall appeared in last season’s Celebrity Apprentice, his easy-going demeanor was stretched to the limit when he was faced with dealing the mega annoying, Aubrey O’Day. Although she annoyed most everyone on the set, with the exception of Lisa Lampanelli, it was Arsenio who was most bothered by O’days poor behavior. He even lost it more than once and lashed out at her in a profanity filled tirade. The, as of late, Las Vegas guest club pool hostess cried a bit for some sympathy and then kept right on annoying him.
It’s hard to blame him as that girl managed to really test most of the contestants limits with her incessant chatter. and really no one but Arsenio actually called her on it.
On the show, and off the show, Arsenio is a huge supporter of the Magic Johnson foundation and chose that foundation to support during his stint and ultimate victory on Celebrity Apprentice. He has been personally affected by the effects of AIDS, within his own family, with his cousin recently passing on before he began taping for Celebrity Apprentice. His talk show opportunity should give him the means, platform and exposure to be able to do even more for the Magic Johnson Foundation.
