Beyonce irritated at Mindless Behavior comment during BET Awards and allegedly changes her acceptance speech.
What was the big deal? Really? Numerous parts of the show had to be bleeped out for profanity especially talent edpotty mouth Nicki Minaj and I guess that’s OK with the pop diva. But have some kids crack a joke about Lauren Hill (or her accountant) in a JOKING way and the diva is pissed. Come on.
pleads guilty to tax evasion
First of all, it’s comedy. Just because you don’t agree with that brand of comedy, you feel the need to change your acceptance speech. It’s your choice. It can be construed as kind of juvenile. What about Jay Z’s joke directed towards to Kanye, when he jokingly interrupted him. You have to admit that was funny!
Beyonce thought that was funny too.
We didn’t see her thinking about Taylor Swift at all this time around . And you know what, it’s probably a moment that Swift would rather see buried in the past and not have the matter brought up again especially on national TV. Even so, it was a joke. .
So why the sourpuss attitude when it’s directed at Lauren Hill.
Lauren Hill did plead guilty to tax evasion. In fact, she admitted to not paying taxes for 3 years even though she earned a handsome 1.6 million during that time period. Some can construe that Mindless Behavior’s comment was on target – she does have a bad accountant. If she doesn’t have a bad accountant then the other alternative is she just willingly does not give a sh– about paying her taxes and she’s facing jail time for it.
And then she mentions Mary Blige in the same acceptance speech. Mary Blige, who was once widely respected by many, is now herself embroiled in a lawsuit that HER charity fraudulently obtained a loan and they’ve only paid $400 dollars back. At first, Mary Blige took responsibility for her charity. Now she has switched gears and has the audacity to blame everyone but herself. Her contention is that if the bank was stupid enough to loan them any money then it’s their issue and not hers. How regal is that? Unbelievable.
These are the women you honor on national TV.I can understand why so many people thought it was “strange” that she chose to honor 2 women who have displayed such less than stellar and ,most likely, illegal behavior.
