Britney Spears conservatorship will end?
It looks like things are going better in Britney Spears life. She’s back in the public eye as the new X-Factor judge at an astounding $15 million first years salary and she’s engaged to Jason Trawick. Things are going so well that perhaps Britney Spears conservatorship will end.
What Britney Spears wants and what Britney Spears gets might not mesh unless and until she can convince a judge that she is perfectly capable of handling her own finances and more importantly that she can just handle life on her own.
Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, was awarded conservatorship over the pop icon after a series of very public meltdowns and bizarre behavior. Who can forget her shaving her head and the infamous 5150 lock down?

Her father, Jamie Spears, has been making a bundle since taking over nearly every aspect of her life and, unless you live under a rock, it has became quite apparent that Britney suffers from mental problems. Perhaps it is inherited from her father’s side. Her paternal grandmother, Emma Spears, shot herself to death at age 31 and her father reportedly battled alcohol problems.
After at least 4 years of being under her father’s thumb, we’ve had a glimpse in to the “new” Britney. The one that just doesn’t look the same and has a vacant glaze in her eyes.
Trawick is almost always at her side and her father allegedly started the legal process to add Trawick on as a conservator so that he will be able to make decisions concerning Britney. According to People, this co-conservator position will allow Trawick to help make decisions about Spears’ medical care, food, and basic needs. However, Jamie Spears will keep a grip on his daughter’s finances and ultimately the final say so. The Judge in the case has reportedly approved Trawick’s application.
Trawick is already quite involved in overseeing Britney Spears and reportedly secured a spot as a producer on the X-Factor. According to Eonline, “Jason is expected to be there every day Britney is on set. He is her rock and will help guide her through the process. He is the person she trusts the most”
Britney is grateful to her dad for all he has done and now wants to stand on her own two feet.
The big question is will the judge believe she is capable. Really capable.
