David Bowie Mick Jagger affair
A new book came out by Christopher Andersen claiming that there was a big David Bowie Mick Jagger affair during the free love period of the 70’s. Are your surprised? Come on – it was the 70’s after all. It was the era of sex, drugs and rock n’ roll! If you lived though it, then you know that everybody was sleeping with everybody!
Anderson has penned other books exposing celebrities private and often scandalous lives such as Princess Diana and Michael Jackson. In a preview of his his current book, Mick: The Wild Life and Mad Genius of Jagger
Angie, Bowie’s wife and subject of his mega hit aptly title, “Angie”, caught them in bed together. Although she didn’t catch them actually “doing the deed”, according to Anderson’s book, it was pretty obvious what they had been doing after she walked in on them
“Oh, hello,” said Bowie, clearly taken by surprise. “How are you?”
“I’m fine,” Angie replied. “Do you want some coffee?”
Angie later mused that maybe they were writing the song (Angie) for her and she also wished that she was doing Jagger because the thought he’d be a “wild Man” in bed.
Keith Richards, just didn’t get what the fascination was,
“The fact is,” Keith said, “Mick could deliver ten times more than Bowie in just a T-shirt and a pair of jeans. Why would you want to be anything else if you’re Mick Jagger?”
The book claims that, Ava Cherry, a backup singer who once lived with the Bowie’s told a friend that even though she was in bed with them many times, ” I ended up just watching them have sex.”
Bebe Buell
A juicy tidbit detailed Bebe Buell’s experience with the duo. The former Playboy centerfold got around with a lot of the rockers, including Elvis Costello, Rod Stewart, Jimmy Page, Steve Tyler, Todd Rundgren, and Prince. Buell was apparently sleeping with both Bowie and Jagger separately. According to the book,
Once Bowie and Jagger realized that they were both carrying on affairs with Buell (“Nobody was monogamous. Everybody was sleeping with everybody,” she said), the two stars teamed up to lure her into an orgy or two. “I used to get some pretty strange phone calls from Mick and David at three in the morning,” she said, “inviting me to join them in bed with four gorgeous black women.” Or, she added, “four gorgeous black men.”
Bebe Buell, also mom of Liv Tyler who was conceived from her brief hookup with Steve Tyler, is denying the rumors. sort of … on her facebook page posting.
One thing they all seem to agree on is the Mick Jagger’s manhood was on the small side. Keith (Richards) would later describe as his “tiny todger” and Buelle allegedly said, “I was very, very shocked by his smallness, his fragility”
As far as the David Bowie Mick Jagger affair, I kind of figured they might be banging one another during, “Dancing in the Street”. Didn’t you?
(author’s note – It’s funny reading that because I remember running into (literally) Mick Jagger at the airport in Barbados Airport years ago. I was a kid, a huge fan of his and the Stones and had seen him numerous times in concert. For some reason, I too perceived him as scrawny even when I saw him in concert. When I bumped into him at the airport, he was wearing a purple suit and seemed so much taller…although I wasn’t privy to his other attributes!
