Lacey Schwimmer finds naked guy in dressing room
Count this as another backstage security problem at the Dancing with the Stars show at The Tropicana Las Vegas. First Tia Carrere and one of the other dancers had their purses stolen from their dressing room a few weeks back and now Lacey Schwimmer finds a naked guy in her dressing room.
What happened was that Lacey Shwimmer got to her dressing room and found that the door was kicked in AND a naked guy was in her dressing getting ready to walk into the shower. I am sure she must’ve been scared s*^less.
Of course she got out as fast as she could and the police were called.
When I told you all about the Tia Carrere incident, I had mentioned that I did not feel too safe when I stayed at The Trop years ago. My room was fine. The problem was that I was in a wing that you could access from the outside. If wasn’t like most of the other Vegas hotels where you walk through one central access point to get to the hotel rooms. I remember feeling very uncomfortable going back to my room late at night not knowing if the person you saw in the hallway was a hotel guest or not. I was so uneasy about it that I never stayed there again.

I would have thought that this would have been a wake-up call for The Trop to step up the security patrols after the first incident. Apparently they have not. The Trop, as we locals call it, has undergone millions of dollars in recent renovations. It might be a wise idea on their part to pony up some additional resources focusing on increased security. Vegas has been hit by the economy so I wonder if they had reduced their security force.
Bad press like this can really hurt – – especially in this economy and especially where there are many other places to stay.
Fortunately no one has been hurt in these 2 reported incidents. Let’s hope that The Trop gets a grip on this and that there are no further incidents.
