Nicki Minaj vows never to perform for Hot 97 again
Now you know I like Nicki MInaj – I really do. She’s talented, has a unique quirky signature style and she’s got a great pair of chops. Plus she gets bonus points for coming on the Ellen Show to surprise the 2 little British girls, Sophia Grace and Rosie who adore Nicki Minaj and performed her hit. “Super Bass”. She even took the time out of her day to show up on short notice and very generously gifted the kids with a shopping spree. But she’s now slipped a notch or two after Nicki Minaj vows never to perform for Hot 97 again.
So, the Hot 97 DJ, Peter Rosenberg, didn’t like her song. He even went on say that it’s BS and not “real hip-hop”. OK. That’s his opinion. And he’s entitled to it!. Radio viewers tune in to hear opinions both good and bad.

The next thing you know, the incident has become totally over blown and then Lil Wayne jumps in and pulls his entire line-up from Summer Jam. Minaj is reportedly saying that she doesn’t want to work around “negative people”.
Folks this is not a communist country. One of the things that makes America so great is for anyone to have the freedom to express yourself. Hey do you remember the movie the, “Stepford Wives“, when everyone walks around like a robot saying nice things. Puhleeze! Now that Minaj has fame and popularity under her belt, is is true that she demands that everyone around her is always positive. We all know she can buy people to hang out in her entourage and say whatever she wants to hear, but wow is that really how some people choose to live?. How utterly friggin’ ridiculous!
Some people are saying that Minaj and Lil Wayne are coming across as real jerks. To me, it sound like they’ve been afflicted with the “entitlement curse”
Hot 97 DJ, Peter Rosenberg is not budging and said,
I need it be clear. I gave an opinion on a song,” Rosenberg told his audience. “And Nicki Minaj and Young Money decided to skip Summer Jam. Because of an opinion, not a personal attack, nothing derogatory because she’s a woman. That’s why music is so mediocre nowadays, because no one can give opinions. If you give an opinion, cats hate you, their crew skips your concert, they diss you on Twitter, their boyfriends threaten to punch you in the face.
After Nicki Minaj vows never to perform for Hot 97 again, she has announced she would play a special show for fans in New York. That might soothe some of her fans and help to counteract all the negative publicity.
