Taylor Swift will headline New York’s Rocking Eve
It is now official. Mega star Taylor Swift will headline New York’s Rocking Eve.
In this author’s opinion, the 2 very best places to ring in the new year and fabulous Las Vegas and New York’s Time Square.
New York’s Rocking Eve had been hosted by the late, great Dick Clark and, in 2005, Ryan Seacrest joined him.
Dick Clark, known as American’s oldest teenager, died in April. He was 82.
He will be honored in a sure to be moving 2 hour tribute show on New Year’s Eve, at 8 p.m. ET.
The tribute will be hosted by Fergie and Jenny McCarthy.
Seacrest is now at the helm and this year’s entertainment lineup will help New Yorkers, and those watching around the world, ring in the 2013 New Year in style.
Obviously Taylor Swift is the main attraction.
She’ll be joined by “Call Me Maybe” singer Carly Rae Jepsen, Neon Trees, Flo Rida and Pitbull.
Some people thought that Jepsen, who shot to fame with her catchy “Call Me Maybe”, would quickly fade back into obscurity, however the 27 year old has proved them wrong.
Jepsen’s successful collaboration with Owl City, “Good Time,” and her follow-up single, “This Kiss,” has helped to keep the singer relevant and she remains in the spotlight.
She even won the American Music Award for New Artist of the Year.
Taylor Swift seems to be all over the place these past few months. She’s been in the press for yet another break-up and is reportedly seeing One Direction’s Harry Styles,
She’s been modeling and making the round on the talk shows and promoting her new album “Red”, which is her fourth studio album that was released in October. Next year Taylor Swift embarks on her “Red” tour.
For die-hard Taylor Swift fans, New Year’s couldn’t get any better now that Taylor Swift will headline New York’s Rocking Eve.
