Now that’s a mouthful!
Why on earth would the actress saddle her daughter with such a ridiculous name?
Now don’t go saying in other parts of the world, people naming their kids with unpronounceable names are commonplace.
Remember, this is America!
Seriously what is wrong with Uma Thurman?
A representative for Uma and her fiancé Arpad Busson says in a statement to People.com,
I would like to announce Uma and Arki’s daughter’s name for the first time officially: Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson, better known to family and friends as Luna.
After all that, the baby with the unpronounceable name is going to be called Luna. Too funny!
Uma is saying that each and every one of the names have a special meaning. Her rep said,
Each name has a special reason and meaning to her mother and father.
I tend to agree with Jason Feinberg of Las Vegas’ Fox 5 News. He said there are lots of words with special meaning in the dictionary but that doesn’t mean you use all the names!
Luna will undoubtedly get some ribbing. You know how cruel kids can be.
We once had a customer in a luxury Las Vegas strip casino, who was a high roller, and had a name that was even worse that Thurman’s choice. None of us could pronounce it correctly, and we did try. Since his name had nearly every letter in the alphabet in his name, we coined him “Alphabet Man”.
Maybe she’ll find a name she likes as she grows up or can legally change it.
